By accessing or using YouPractice ("the Service"), including our web application, mobile applications (iOS and Android), browser extension, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

YouPractice is a language learning platform that helps users improve their pronunciation, listening, and speaking skills by practicing with YouTube video content. The Service provides tools for shadowing, listening quizzes, and AI-powered speaking practice using publicly available YouTube videos accessed through the official YouTube API.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

YouPractice offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Payment will be charged to your account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing Subscriptions: You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
Free Trial: If offered, the free trial period will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
Price Changes: We may change subscription prices. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next subscription period following notice.

5. YouTube Content

YouPractice uses the YouTube API Services to provide video content for language learning. By using the Service, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

All video content is streamed directly from YouTube using the official embedded player. We do not download, store, or redistribute any video or audio content.
Transcript data is accessed through YouTube's caption APIs for educational purposes only.
We respect content creators' rights. If you are a content creator and have concerns, please contact us.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Download, record, or redistribute any content accessed through the Service
Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or subscription requirements
Use automated systems or bots to access the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and original content, is owned by YouPractice and protected by intellectual property laws. Video content displayed within the Service remains the property of the respective content creators and is accessed through YouTube's official API in compliance with their terms. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings > Security > Delete Account option. Upon deletion, all your personal data, practice history, and account information will be permanently removed from our servers. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through your device's app store before deleting your account to prevent further charges.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of transcripts, pronunciation assessments, or AI-generated feedback. Language learning results may vary based on individual effort and practice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouPractice shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
